Decades of infrastructure expertise

BRIEF HISTORY

The forerunner of HIDROCONSTRUCTIA dates back to 1950, when it started as the hydropower investment in Bicaz, then called "Directia Generala a Hidrocentralei BICAZ” (The General Directorate of BICAZ Hydropower Plant)

In 1961, the construction unit received a head office in Bucharest and the name "Intreprinderea de Constructii Hidroenergetice" (I.C.H.) (The Hydropower Construction Enterprise) which later became "Trustul de Constructii Hidroenergetice Bucuresti" (T.C.H.) (Bucharest Hydropower Construction Trust), then "Trustul Antrepriza Generala de Constructii Hidroenergetice Bucuresti" (T.A.G.C.H.) (The Bucharest General Enterprise Trust for Hydropower Constructions).

Since 1990, through the Government Decree no. 1104, it became the commercial company HIDROCONSTRUCTIA S.A.
